"Never doubt that a small group of committed people can
change the world.  Indeed, nothing else ever has."

Agriculture is the world's oldest industry.  It sits on over 40% of the world's surface area.  To say that it's an entrenched system would be an understatement.  So to change today's agricultural system into something sustainable that will provide both for us and for future generations is a tremendous undertaking - probably on par with the 1960s effort to put a man on the moon.

It's going to take not just money, not just scientists, not just political will, but full cultural buy-in to bring about the changes we need.  We need everyday people to understand the importance of this challenge and what hangs in the balance - from their own personal health, to the global health of our entire planetary ecosystem.

It's going to take engagement from people like you.

In the coming weeks, we'll be providing Action Items where you can make a difference by promoting local food production campaigns, sustainable farming practices, public awareness efforts, grassroots lobbying, education and research initiatives, and support for local grocers and retailers who offer sustainably-produced food products.

For now, please sign up for our mailing list.  We'll keep you informed of the latest news about Beanstalk, and about sustainable agriculture policies and technology.  There are breakthroughs being made every day.
